RE: Pulling weeds, To Picking stocks

That's the name of a book that a 16 year young man , who called Rush's show today had written and published. The purpose of his call was to inquire how much an add on Rush's show would cost him. Seems he wants to raise money for the Marine charity , that helps pay college expenses of children , of fallen hero's , our brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice. He stated that he intend to give $25,000 from the sale of his book that he co wrote with his brother. Rush magnanimously began to ask questions about the book, ie the title , which he had him repeat two or three times. Then he proceed to ask the name of the publisher and where the bock could be found , When about that time one of the staff told Rush it was listed on amazon. This all lasted about two to three minutes. Let me say I was so proud of Rush , and really touched. He then replied to the young man that a commercial like that would cost about $35,000 and with the Amazon plug an other $10,000. I wish the young man well. I hope he sells 10,000,000 copies. Just $11.50 , It's a deal But Rush Limbaugh , my friend , is truly a national treasure , and everyone who criticizes him should give him the courtesy of listening to him for a while , then they too would realizes he's just a harmless , lovable , little fuss ball, / national treasure. 8/23/08 When I looked at my Rush In A Hurry , email this morning Rush included a link to the Beatty Boys book on Amazon. A National Treasure ,I tell you.

Before you get the idea we were harassing this future parent I was at a distance of 150 feet or so. Taken with a Sony H-5 which has a 12x lens.

This is one of ten or so gators we encountered. It was about a 12 footer!

Baby geese and baby ducks were every where!!!

As always it was difficult to leave at the end of the week. We saw the sun rise most days on the water. We also saw the sun set most days on the water. My wife is terrified on the water at night thinking we are always about to hit something , or get lost and not find our way back to the boat landing. We always did. Lord willing we will find our way back to this lake again.

How about those gas prices!!

Well as the debate goes on and Queen nancy capitulates and says she might allow a vote on offshore drilling , the price of oil hits the skids. Yesterday on the coast I saw $3.99 diesel for the first time in months. Regular unleaded was $3.40. By the way just blame me for the higher cost of diesel; ya see I bought a Jeep Liberty with a Damler built diesel engine in it , when diesel was cheaper than gas. Go figure? While we're at it blame me for the end of the Damler /Chrysler patnership. Same Jeep! But I diegress! Its almost ridiculus that we think of $3.99 as good , but I guess you have to start somewhere. and any relief is welcome , so thats why we need to keep the pressure on these do nothing public servants , that think we drive to much and pay to little for our fuel! This election would be a great year to put the fear of God in them an just "toss the bums out". To conclude , if our congress would just unite , for the good of the people and vote to allow drilling offshore , and then get the hell out of there way , we would see $2.50 gas by election time. That would be a GOOD thing!!! By the way , why do they keep calling it regular unleaded? There hasn't been leaded Gas for Years!

Yes the poll I conducted on Blogger just completed and The over all consensus of all respondents is that If global warming is occurring at all , it isn't because of man's activity on the planet. I guess in the interest of intellectual honesty and full disclosure I should add that only one person voted in my poll. I probably should also add that I was that vote. Well there I said it. But that is far more honesty than you'll get from the radical environmental agenda that's pushing this whole farce. I called it an agenda because it goes far beyond concern that the planet is headed for certain destruction if we don't do something now to stop it. How arrogant! How incredibly arrogant!! In the great scheme of things we are less significant than a single drop of water in the ocean. It would be like saying sugar ants in the kitchen are making the temperature in the house go up. But then the whole thing has nothing to do with protecting the planet, rather it is an attempt to bring an end to capitalism and usurer in global socialism or frankly communism. The whole thing is meant to be punitive to the us and other more developed countries while letting countries like China continue with impunity. Its got us all like the atheist, insomniac who has dyslexia Who lays awake at night pondering why he is so certain there is no dog. I had am old farmer friend who told me when settling a debt once , the man demanding payment said "Bill (his name was Bill), figures don't lie" To which he responded "But liars do figure" Go figure. As for global warming, the experts tell us that most of the earth was once covered with ice ie, the ice age. Weren't no cars or co2 emissions back then were there. Go figure.

There really is someone out there

I got my first comment yesterday and it was from someone in new Zealand. Thank you for your comment. What is the gasoline price there. That's the big topic here. The radical environmental extremist left here are trying to convince everyone that its for our on good. Whoever knew that my diet coke could be banned for its contents , co2. It is a godless world view that says we must save the planet,when we can't even ,with all our technological advances, tell what the weather will be tomorrow. It was widely reported by prominent expert scientist that the eruption of Mount Saint Helens, spewed more green house gasses into the atmosphere, than all the petroleum products that had been burned, by all means, up until that time. I can't help but recall how the bio dome/biosphere project was touted, by all in the know, that man had finally figured out the exact proportions of every element required to support life. they were going to purify the air and water, naturally and show the world that they could maintain a perfect environment. The whole project was a disaster of monumental proportions. In the end the project was shut down because the people and animals were having health problems, and this after infusing air and water from outside. The reason I bring this up is to say if it wasn't possible to sustain an environment that was livable on such a small scale as the few acres of the bio dome. what gives those same people any credibility with controlling the atmosphere of our entire planet. I think they are arrogant and egotistical to think that humans, first could cause a rise in temperature and second that humans could effect a change that could lower temperatures. One day of sun spot activity can send our temperature to 100. A fool has said in his heart there is no god!

Rush Limbaugh "Elrushbo' and Sean Hanity are american heros

I listen intently most days exclusively to talk radio. My day starts with Laura Ingraham Or Glen Beck Depending on the am radio signal Then Elrushbo followed by Sean Hanity. Finally I even listen to Michael Savage until he starts talking about the space ship picking him up then I have to leave. He out there. Bill O'riley I believe likes his rating and really Knows how to say just what the rest of the fence straddlers want to hear. I like what the Texas politician he had on once told him. He said he was certian to have barbed wire burn between his legs from his fence straddling. Rush and Sean though are truly American treasures. Rush lives up to his self characterization of himself as a harmless lovable fuzzball. He is so patent with the numerous liberal plants that call just to advance their communist agenda and he is so polite with them, always allowing them enough rope to hang themselves. But if you actually listen to what he says ,it always somehow is linked to the American way of life that we love. Truly A great American. Sean on the other Hand features liberal callers ,moving them to the front of the call list , were when they get on the phone he drags out of them the fact that they are just hacks that mindlessly follow their cause without ever thinking how stupid they sound. He too is a Great American with an UN dieing devotion to our troops and the fallen hero's families. Hats off to both of these Great Americans.

Coldest summer on record for Anchorage , Alaska.

I heard yesterday that Anchorage , Alaska is having quite the cool summer measured in days when the temperature goes above 65 degrees Fahrenheit If the current trend continues it will set an all time record for the fewest days above 65 degrees. You wont here anything about it in the PC press.

God gave us two eyes two ears and one mouth . I suppose he intended for us to do twice as much listening and watching as , he did us talking. Not all thing are as they appear and if you watch long enough you will see them as they are. God gifted me with a mechanical mind and I have looked at a lot of those afore mentioned things until I see them as they are. I wouldn't try to give the impression that I know every thing so don't go expecting some long dissertation on Brain surgery or nuclear fusion. There are some things however, that I am quite knowledgeable about. These include most thing mechanical and a lot of others as well. If I don't know the answer , I just say I don't know. If I happen to be around someone who knows what I don't, then I try to learn everything they do. I figure that what I know combined with what they know somehow makes me smarter than them. Its simply addition you see. So as I launch this blog , I am open to questions that might help you figure out what wrong with your mechanical whatever. At worst I'll say I don't know , at best I just might help you figure it out and save you some dough.
